In plain English
Use EasyPDFPlay for lawful purposes, keep backups of your originals, check the finished document before you send or sign it, and don’t use whiteout as a substitute for proper redaction. The Service is provided as-is.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using the EasyPDFPlay website and online PDF editor (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”). The Service is operated by EasyPDFPlay (“we”, “us”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
EasyPDFPlay provides free, browser-based tools to edit PDF files without sign-up or watermark, including editing text, adding signatures (drawn, typed or uploaded), highlighting, drawing, whiteout and box cover-up, inserting images and links, sticky notes, shapes, in-document search, printing, and deleting or reordering pages. The Service runs entirely in your browser; your files are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. We may add, change or remove features at any time.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) and legally able to enter into these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
4. Your files and your responsibility
You keep all rights in the documents you open, edit and download. We do not claim any ownership of your content, and because processing happens on your device we do not access it.
You are responsible for your documents and for having the right to edit, sign or share them. The Service creates a new edited copy for you to download; your original file is not modified, but you should always keep backups of important documents.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- forge, falsify or alter documents, or sign on behalf of another person without authority, in order to deceive or defraud;
- distribute malware or attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape abusively or reverse-engineer the Service;
- circumvent security measures or access anything you are not entitled to access.
6. Signatures and legal documents
Adding a signature in EasyPDFPlay places an image of your signature on the page. It is not a certified or cryptographic digital signature. Whether it is legally valid depends on your jurisdiction and the type of document, and some documents require witnesses, a notary or a qualified electronic signature. We are not a party to any document you sign and do not provide legal advice. Please confirm the requirements that apply to you.
7. Accuracy of the output
PDF files vary widely. Edited text may use a substitute font when the original is unavailable, scanned PDFs cannot be text-edited, and password-protected files cannot be opened. The Whiteout and Box tools cover content visually but do not permanently remove the underlying data, so do not rely on them to redact sensitive information. Always review the finished file before you send, sign or publish it.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time.
9. Intellectual property
The EasyPDFPlay name, logo, design and website content belong to EasyPDFPlay or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. The Service uses open-source components, such as PDF.js, pdf-lib and fontkit, which remain subject to their own licences.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EasyPDFPlay and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed fifty United States dollars (USD 50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your documents or your breach of these Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or restrict access if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use creates risk or harm.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Pakistan will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in your country of residence.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows when they last changed. By continuing to use the Service after an update, you accept the revised Terms.
